November and December - In the Rio Negro basin
In conjunction with River Plate Outfitters and NG Turismo Ltda, Acute Angling offersg this amazingly priced package for 3 weeks in the peak of the Amazon fishing season.  Targeting the world- record sized giant peacocks found only in tributaries of the Rio Negro, these trips provide the highest quality peacock bass fishing in the world at a previously unimaginable price.  How?  Well, we won't scrimp on the amenities, so we'll continue to provide the same high standards of food and accommodations as on all of our other trips.  We've achieved the savings by slashing logistical costs.  The key component is River Plate's new "Express" transport.
After your late evening arrival in Manaus, you'll be transferred directly to the Tropical Hotel Marina, where you'll board a remarkable new transport system.  Capable of 50 mph cruising speeds and equipped with full marine electronics and navigation systems, the "Express: will eliminate the high costs of charter air travel.  With fully-reclining first class seating, you'll comfortably sleep the night away, arriving at the fishery in the morning.  Enjoy the same high quality of fishing, service and accommodations we've long been known for, then return to Manaus a week later.  Enjoy the fishing trip of a lifetime at an unbelievable price.

Note - These trips are primarily planned for available waters in the Rio Negro basin, however,  productive peacock bass fishing is controlled by ambient conditions.  In order to ensure a quality experience for our clients, river and date combinations may be subject to access to the fishery named, along with weather conditions and water levels.  If factors prevent the use of a specified fishery or dates, an alternative river will be used, or alternative dates and/or rainchecks will be offered.  Below are some of the alternative rivers we may utilize.

Jufari River - One of the most dependable rivers in the Rio Negro basin.  Lightly stained black water favors high numbers.  Restricted access to this fishery ensures very high daily catch averages (15 - 50 fish per day) and a good proportion of trophy peacocks up to 22 pounds.

Caures River - A black water river that has a little bit of everything. Great surface action for peacocks and excellent opportunities for big red-tail catfish.  High daily catch averages (10 - 30 fish per day) and a great proportion of trophy peacocks up to 24 pounds.

Unini River - One of the most consistently productive rivers in Amazonia.  Dark water favors surface action and results in violent, explosive topwater strikes.  Excellent daily catch averages (15 - 25 fish per day) and a very high proportion of trophy peacocks up to 25 pounds. (Note - The Unini requires an additional license fee, making its "Express" price $4250

If conditions warrant, we may also fish the Rio Cuini, Araca, Paduari, Preto, Uneuixi, Tea and others.
